As event professionals we can spend so much time thinking about how new event tech works, how new marketing channels work, how new event experiences work, how logistics work, that we lose sight of the most important question – how do our people (our audience, our attendees, our community) work?

When human connection is our purpose, human nature should be our inspiration.

What now?

(And sometimes in an exasperated, “What the flipping heck now?!” way! We’re sure we’re not alone…) Predicting what the future holds seems an ever more impossible challenge but to restore more considered thought, we’ve been seeking out informed predictions for the year ahead. Our favourite so far? Ariana Huffington’s – and her sage advice that “the best way to predict the future is to create it.”
