A hard question to answer? Or perhaps not. For us at IMEX it is, and always has been, purpose, passion, people. If that seems too simple, we'd counter that the best things usually are. And this month we've been embracing that happy formula at EMEC, in conversations with our IMEX 2023 speakers, and beyond.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING

EMECing

Is that a word? It is now. Over the last few days we’ve been swept up in EMEC excitement as MPI finally brought their European conference to our home town of Brighton after a long COVID-induced hiatus. A whirlwind of thought-provoking plenaries, bracing seaside sorties, doughnuts, dodgems and (sometimes dodgy) dancing – but best of all catching up with industry friends old and new. EMEC crew we miss you already!

Our instincts

“Learn to listen to your inner voice.” Sound advice from IMEX brand ambassador, Tanja Knecht. Our inner Finn

While Brighton has topped our happiness poll lately (see our top story), we’re loving the latest campaign from Finland, voted the happiest country in the world by the World Happiness Report. VisitFinland’s Masterclass of Happiness declares the Finnish state of mind to be a skill that can be taught, achieved by living a “balanced life on the quirky side”. Sounds very Brighton to us – we’re (F)in(n)!
