The last couple of weeks before a show are always, always, one of my favorite times (apart from the show itself of course!) with IMEX HQ abuzz with activity and excitement as we fine-tune the details, and help everyone coming to the show get the most out of it they possibly can—from helping our buyers book their meetings, to helping our exhibitors perfect their booths, to helping our speakers work out their workshops. The anticipation is palpable.

After all, even I can’t be everywhere all at once—although I’m going to give it my very best shot.

Unlock your impact

Seeing the show burst into life after months of planning still fills me with wonder. And Encore’s immersive activations are always one of the experiences I’m most excited to see unfold. At this year’s Break Free: Unlock Your Impact, they’re promising to tease and challenge our senses and our perception to spark emotional impact. I’ll see you there.

My takeaways from Skift

Amid the whirlwind of show build-up, I found time to head to the Skift Meetings Forum and Global Forum in New York last week, to speak—and to soak up insights from the stand-out speaker lineup that included everyone from marketing sage Seth Godin to Airbnb co-founder, Brian Chesky. I also found time for spinning, climbing, coffee drinking and soaking up New York life—but that’s a story for another time!
